E portfolios in Year one classrooms

Hi there. we are just going into E portfolios at our school. I would like to know how schools have successfully integrated eportfolios into a Year One classroom? How do you manage the time taken on the e portfolio with young children?

    With year one students, the eportfolio is probably more about showcasing their work.  Possibly one of the easiest ways to do this is have the digital camera handy and take photos of it and put it on a class blog yourself, sharing it with parents (initials only if they do not want their child's name out there.) You can restrict the privacy of a class blog site just to parents.
