Over the last two terms, the Mantar Cluster has continued e-shares as a way of sharing good e-learning practice across the Cluster.
E-shares are workshops where e-learning practice is shared by teachers. One school hosts and a number of teachers share each time. The title of the workshops is shared prior to the event and teachers sign up the event which they wish to attend.
In Term 2 the workshops were:

E-Shares Reflection Term 3
I facilitated the session on PhotoStory. I was great to be able to share what I think it a great little free app for Microsoft. The session was well attended and hopefully the content was at the right level for most attendents, with 1 noted expectation.
Resources provided by TES were outstanding and everything was set up prior to me getting there.
It was refreshing to have attendance from teachers whom I had previously attended sessions from. I feel this is a direct tangible outcome from E-Shares, in the sharing of knowledge and skills and the ability to network and communicate with teachers seeking the same knowledge.
Most teachers commented on the ability to use this app to help with Digi awards, so it’s timing in early in term 3 was helpful.
All attendees would have left the session with a rough working knowledge of the app as it was a very hands on session. I was also very lucky to have the technical assistance of one of the Te-Kids, who showed leadership in helping teachers with their technical queries. Maybe this is something that could be incorporated into further sessions, having the Te-Kids from each school buddy with a teacher to provide that extra pair of hands?
Below is the handout and itinerary from this session.

Photo Story
Microsoft Photo Story is a free application that allows users to create a visual story (show and tell presentation) from their digital photos.[1] The software uses the Ken Burns Effect on digital photos and allows adding narration, effects, transitions and background music to create a Windows Media Video movie file with pan and zoom effects.

Reasons I like Photo Story:
Photo Story can be used as a tool to help:
As well as:
Thinking
What words would best tell this story?
Relating to others
Telling the story in my words, hearing the same story in another’s words.
Using symbols, text & language
Writing, visual language
Managing self
Turn taking, working with groups
Participating
I have an input into this story
Some ideas to get you started:
Photographing events, and then getting the students to arrange in order and provide text or narration. Provide the photos either printed out, using an overhead projector or onto their computer.
They can draw pictures and you can upload these as the images.
Photograph an existing book and come up with different narrative and/or endings.
You could use for scheduling with children of higher needs.

School Rules - At the beginning of the year take pictures of the students following class and school rules and use it to go over and review rules throughout the year. (Jennifer Fletcher)
A Look at Our Year-- Photo Story would be great to show what our year looked like. Take pictures throughout the year and make a yearbook. Sue Ann Johnson
Phonics -- Sounds and alphabet letters. As a teacher you can create the show by adding the images, then let your students finish the show by narrating the sounds. This can even be a form of assessment.
Getting to Know You Autobiography: Administrators, teachers, other school personnel could use Photo Story 3 to introduce themselves to students. Students could also construct an autobiography as an icebreaker. (Michelle Ellis)

Impact of EShares @ SJS
Examples of how PD from EShares in Term 2 have impacted on classroom practise
Integrating a Web 2.0 tool across the curriruclum - This session demonstrated how to use one web 2.0 (classtools) and embed it across the curriculum. Here are some examples of how teachers have taken this idea and used in in their own classroom practice.

Jacqui has explained in the comment above, how photostory was shared at EShares. Here is an example of how this has been taken by a Junior teacher and integrated into her practice.

E-Shares Reflection Term 2
Unfortunately I missed my first session due to travel.
My second session was on using ICT within reading rotations. This was an informative session with a great hands-on portion and a hand out. Sites looked at were Starfall (reading) and PBSkids (math) and how these could be used using an IWB.
The session was well facilitated and the teacher obviously had a lot of relevant experience in this field.
This session was particularly relevant for me as I have been trying to establish an elearning component within my reading programme and it is always good to see what other junior teachers are doing.
Following on from this and a follow up visit with this teacher and my co-ordinator I have integrated an elearning component into my reading rotation with great success.
Computer
Double session for ease of transition and motivation. Targeted phonics development and/or reading development.
Each child has set levels for reading tasks to ensure tasks are either consolidation or introduce of new skills.
As part of the rotation students access the required level within these sites, both in reading and math and the students are effectively using them to consolidate their knowledge. Below is an example on one of the rotation days and the rationale behind the ICT component.

E-SHARES
E-Shares have been very well received at TES. We like the down to earth delivery and how each session is not too long. Learning about what other teachers are doing confirms our own practise and provides ideas that support ICT in the classroom. Teachers at TES have used the new learning in their own programmes, added websites to their wiki’s and intend to use the new learning when the need arises.
Presenting the e-share on green screening I found to be non-threatening and well received by those that attended. This e-shares was also assisted by the Mantar Cluster providing each school with the appropriate green or blue material to create their own green screening. I have been pleased to see this being used at TES.
‘In term 3, I found the green screening topic was supported by having a green fabric in the school. This meant I could put what I had learnt into action.’ Rebecca Guy TES

I attended the digital art e-share in term 3 and found the method they were using for removing backgrounds was the same as is used for green screening highlighting how the use of one tool can be transferred and extended. This e-share both confirmed ideas I have used and gave me new tools and ideas to work with. The websites that were shared were excellent. The following is also relevant to the digital art e-share.
‘The photography e- share refreshed me about artistic photos and so spurred the following “studio portraits” using a focused light source’ Rebecca Guy TES
