It’s the end of the Term for us all! Well done. You’ve made it. Thanks to all of you who have posted to the Musicnet list this year. It’s your support of each other that make this online community such a great asset to the Music teachers of New Zealand.
I thank all of you for taking on board some of the tips that I’ve shared about subject lines, thread replies, listing an event so that it is on our online homepage, along with adding resources to the Teacher Resource Exchange instead of emailing them to the list.

Ideas for encouraging music appreciating were shared by Ryan.
Fuse Bucket Drumming is looking for schools to work with in Auckland. Particularly Primary and Intermediate schools.
Ideas for the Level 3 NCEA Music Works Context exam were shared.
Help with teaching and assessing US27658 and US23730 was sought.
The 1-8th June Nationwide tour of phenomenal Jazz Musicians has released its’ poster. If you are near Auckland, Palmerston North, Napier, Upper Hutt, Wellington or Christchurch, then get your students and yourself to this once in a lifetime opportunity. Dave Weckl is offering Drum Workshops before many of these concerts.
The Aroha Quartet are touring NZ from Omapere and Greytown down to Invercargill. There are special ticket prices for teachers and students.
2017 Auckland School Jazz Band Competition applications are now open.
