Two free webinars were arranged to provide advice and support to schools using digital technologies in teaching and learning.

WEBINAR 1: Preparing your school to take up the opportunities the N4L managed network brings (18 March 2014, 3.45 – 4.45pm.)

This webinar was targeted at schools considering connecting, or those already connected to, the Network for Learning (N4L) managed network. The webinar included presentations from Waimate High School and Rotorua Intermediate schools.

There was also a short panel discussion with representatives from the Ministry and N4L.

WEBINAR 2: Preparing your school for BYOD (25 March 2014, 3.45 – 4.45pm.)

This webinar explored how to approach Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). As ICT infrastructure in schools changes (with SNUP, WIFI and the managed network) we know BYOD is now top of mind for many schools. The webinar included presentations from Churton Park School (Wellington) and Mount Aspiring College (Wanaka).

Topics covered included: device choices, community involvement, and device management. There was also a short panel discussion with representatives from the Ministry and N4L.
