Welcome back everyone!

To kickstart the year, it's a pleasure to have Karen Spencer, Director of Education at Netsafe come and join us on Tuesday afternoon, 7th February, 3.45 in an informal Google Hangout to celebrate Safer Internet Day. As the website reads,

BE THE CHANGE: UNITE FOR A BETTER INTERNET

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people.

Coordinated in New Zealand by Netsafe, the day is an opportunity for people, schools, industry and organisations to unite together to raise awareness and start conversations about online safety.

Karen will be our guest sharing the latest developments from Netsafe - that can help schools manage and maintain safer Internet practices at school and beyond. Please feel free to register your interest below or simply turn up on the afternoon in the dedicated Google Hangout. This session will also be recorded for those who can't attend on the day.

We'd love to have your participation too! So, in terms of online safety at your school, what's on top for you? Feel free to add your queries/questions/issues in this thread and we'll aim to address these on the day.
