March 2012

• Digital resources and content for Māori learners with Janelle Riki and Suzie Vesper (29 March 2012). A practical session showing the range of Māori resources in Digistore, ideas for their use in the classroom, and an introduction into using the catalogue of Māori resources to find content within Digistore. 

• When ultra-fast broadband comes to you, where to start? - with Douglas Harré (22 March, 2012). This session provided an overview of what ultra-fast broadband is, how it will be rolled out to schools, and what schools can do to prepare for it.

February 2012

• What does online professional learning look like for learners and leaders? with Tessa Gray (28 February, 2012). This session looked more closely at the Enabling e-Learning groups within the VLN and focused on how we might manage our own and others learning online.

• How to use the VLN Groups / Enabling e-Learning, with Karen Melhuish (24 February, 2012). This session gave an overview of the seven top tools you need to master to make the most of the learning opportunities here in the VLN groups communities.

November 2011

• Software for Learning: Snapshots for Learning (30 November, 2011, with Suzie Vesper): An overview of the website, how snapshots are structured and what's on offer. An introduction to a rich resource with idea of how to incorporate them into professional learning.

• What is Digital Citizenship? An introduction, with Tessa Grey (23 November, Blackboard Collaborate). This session explored what 'digital citizenship' is, and what it means for your school. This offered a broad overview of the current concepts and issues, to suit any level of schooling.

• An introduction to the e-Registered Teacher Criteria, with Suzie Vesper (16 November, Adobe Connect). This session explored the e-Registered Teacher Criteria resource:http://registeredteachercriteria.wikispaces.com/

• What is Enabling e-Learning? An introduction to the content and communities in this online 'hub', with Karen Melhuish (9 November 2011, Blackboard Collaborate). This session provided an opportunity to get to know Enabling e-Learning content and communities, and find out what this online hub can do to support e-learning in your school.

• e-Learning Planning Framework Introduction, with Karen Melhuish and Tessa Gray (2 November, Blackboard Collaborate). This session provided an opportunity to 'get to know' the draft eLearning Planning Framework. It will briefly informed participants about the history and context of the draft eLPF, how it will aide schools in addressing critical success factors (in regards to working towards eMaturity) and how this may impact on educators' roles in schools.

• e-Learning Planning Framework Introduction, with Karen Melhuish and Tessa Gray (12 October, Elluminate)
