About me

I am a passionate educator and spent 13 years as a Secondary teacher/leader (HOD Technology/Dean) before moving into the Primary sector two years ago, as Director of Religious Studies and Pastoral Care at Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School (which opened in 2010). This move was unexpected and heavily influenced by the fact that I was nominated as Chairperson of the Establishment BOT for the new primary school 18 months before the school opened!

My passion is pastoral care and creative values based education, recognising the impact this plays upon teaching and learning. I am particularly interested in the education of disaffected boys.

I have worked in schools in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Being part of the NAPP Generation 2012 is inspiring!
