The Ministry of Education’s Connected Learning Advisory — Te Ara Whītiki, is committed to supporting schools and clusters as they plan for, manage and use digital technologies for modern learning.

The Advisory has recently published a guide, Using digital technologies to support learning in a senior secondary context. In this webinar, CLA advisor, Lynne Silcock, will support us as we explore the guide and develop an understanding of how digital technologies can support secondary school learners.

This webinar aims to share ideas, resources and stories that are based on current practice in NZ secondary schools with a focus on how digital technologies can extend and enhance learning in the NCEA years.

It aims to dispel some myths about the use of technology in teaching, learning and assessment and share some examples of innovative practice that are already occurring in NZ schools.

It will include:

  • Using technology to personalise learning

  • Innovative curriculum design

  • Digital assessment (including an overview of how schools can prepare for NZQA’s  extensive Innovation programme for going digital that will impact all senior secondary students in the next few years).

This webinar will be held in Adobe Connect.
