About me

Kia Ora, I am the proud Deputy Principal at Takapuna Primary School.  My responsibilities include leading the Junior School team of 8 wonderful teachers, Assessment coordinator, Literacy leader and SENCO. Over my 20 years of teaching I have mostly taught on the North Shore but have also had experience teaching overseas in North Carolina, U.S.A where my husband, Jason and I lived for two years.  My journey at Takapuna Primary School began five years ago and it has been wonderful to work with dedicated staff who are passionate about learning and achieving high standards.  I am excited to be a part of the National Aspiring Principals Programme for 2014 and look forward to learning more about VLN and growing in my learning through this network.
